Called off

Thankfully the bus strike was called off by Saturday and life was smooth sailing again!

Saw 'Namastey London' today and especially liked the 'description of India' which Akshay Kumar gives (translated by Katrina) to a Londoner who thinks India is only about snake charmers and rope tricks! Good lines and dialogue delivery. We were all clapping by the end of it!

The other highlight of the movie was the 'Rugby' match. Too Cool! Why are we still playing boring games like cricket ?! Hope to see a rugby match live some day!

Hi Samurai! I prefer to watch movies on big screen only. Sitting at home n watching a movie bores me! I don't get time to go out and watch movies often! I see only selected ones. As for my name, it means - 'khila hua' (blooming, flourishing, glowing).
Thanx for your appreciation. I am also not a pro in Urdu, tho' I'd love to be one!
Iraq seems to be your pet subject (I've posted my comments on ur blog!)

hi shagufta, hope u were glowing today, the joke on ur other blog suggests a nasty mood,i cant think of much else to post now other than iraq, the thoughts are not flowing,i think come sunday,i ll have a better frame of mind, and the internet connections causing massive headaches.saw ur comments, thanx,as u would say

I am not glowing... exhausted now! :( Net speed's bad. Posted a comment on Iran Iraq issue on ur blog, but the comment got lost in slow speed connection.

Wat I wanted to say is that labelling the Iran-Iraq war (which might have been more territorial and power driven) as a Shia-Sunni war is as good as calling our conflict with Pakistan as Hindu-Muslim fued (which is incorrect). Many neighbouring countries in the world have power struggles. The main trouble begins when a third nation takes advantage by giving it a different angle

Thanx for reading my blogs n getting an insight into my life!
You've touched a senti nerve by asking why we changed residence. Having born and brought up in the best society and locality. Then suddenly shifting to the outskirts of the city and learning to adjust to life there isn't easy. And esp when ppl start making fun of having shifted to a place which is very much prejudiced against (I have a big article coming up on that)
Reason: 1) Quarters to own flat after Dad's retirement 2) Finance (Real estate in Mumbai is expensive)... No further discussion on this!
Dinner is in my stomach - mutton!
Saturdays we work 9-5 and weekdays 9-9 :)
